Maileg

A magical universe

In a vibrant and ever-changing world, Maileg invites children into a universe of immersive play, where there is plenty of room for imagination and creativity. Here, matchboxes can become beds, cats and mice are friends, and princesses make wonderful companions for tea parties. Maileg toys are designed to inspire your child, while their adorable teddies and characters are loved by children and parents alike. Their charming, warm worlds open up in the middle of busy everyday life, with beautiful designs that give your child a moment to slow down, focus and have fun.

Over the years, Maileg toys have become collectables for children and can be passed down through generations, thanks to their timeless designs that are perfect for both play and decoration. You are never too old to play with the adorable mice, teddies and other sweet animals. That is why parents and grandparents can hardly resist joining in when dollhouses, mice and all the lovely accessories are brought out. Children need spaces that bring imagination and stories to life, and the enchanting universes from Maileg truly add a touch of magic to everyday life. You can find everything your child needs for imaginative play, whether the mouse is doing laundry in a tiny washing machine or sledging on a cute mini sled. Acting out everyday life and the things happening around them helps children understand and reflect on their experiences.

Maileg

Maileg was founded and is owned by Dorthe Mailil, and the name is a combination of Mailil and the Danish word for play. The brand’s unique, high-quality products have great design value, with many hours spent on every tiny detail. Everything must be perfect and fit naturally into children’s imaginative worlds, while also taking its place in your home without disrupting your interior. There is nothing better for a child than being allowed to leave their play out in the living room, ready to return to it the next morning when they have renewed energy.

The company is based in Herning, Denmark, and whenever you visit, you will rarely see Dorthe without a sketchbook under her arm. Ideas can arrive at any time of day, and every opportunity to write down her thoughts is put to use. This approach has clearly been a great success, as children love Maileg and the quirky characters and imaginative universes created by Dorthe Mailil. We are sure you will love them too. The lovely little designs, sweet characters, furniture and other fun toys are easy to store away in attractive boxes from Aykasa, and just as easy to bring out again when your child wants to play with the charming designs.
