Molo Swimsuits

Molo swimsuits for children who love colour, water and movement

A Molo swimsuit is a great choice if you are looking for children’s swimwear with a little more colour, imagination and personality. Molo’s universe is known for playful prints inspired by nature, the sea and bright colours, but it is not only about the look. The swimsuits also need to work in real life, whether the day is spent at the beach, in the swimming pool or on holiday by the pool. This category is especially well suited to children in the playful years, typically from around 2 to 12 years, where swimwear needs to fit well, offer the right amount of coverage and keep up with hours of water and play.

When choosing, three things often matter most: which style best suits your child’s age and way of playing, how much sun protection you would like, and which print or look your child feels comfortable in. Some children feel best in a classic swimsuit, while others prefer a two-piece option such as a tankini or bikini. If you would like to explore more styles from the same brand, you can also browse our Molo swimwear.

What makes a Molo swimsuit special?

What makes Molo special is the way playful design and practical function go hand in hand. A Molo children’s swimsuit often stands out with artistic prints that are an important part of the brand’s expression. While some swimwear is very simple and neutral, Molo uses colours and motifs that feel lively and closer to a child’s own world.

At the same time, looks are not the only thing that counts. Many Molo swimsuits are made from recycled polyester such as REPREVE with elastane. This creates a fabric that dries quickly, keeps its shape well and is chosen with more consideration than many traditional alternatives. In addition, UPF 50+ provides high UV protection on the areas covered by the swimsuit. For many parents, that makes a real difference on summer days when swimwear needs to do more than simply look nice.

On some styles, the zip is also worth noticing. It is a small detail designed to make swimwear easy to use again and again, without making everyday changing more difficult. These are the kinds of practical details you appreciate when a swimsuit needs to come on and off with wet hands and an impatient child.

Which Molo swimsuit is right for your child?

The choice of style matters, especially if the swimsuit will be used for more than a quick dip.

For toddlers and younger children, a one-piece swimsuit is often the simplest and most secure choice. It offers good coverage, usually stays in place during play and works well for children who switch between swimming, digging in the sand and running back and forth by the water. For children around 2-5 years, this is often the most practical solution.

For older children, a tankini can be a really good middle ground. Your child gets a two-piece option, but still with more coverage than a classic bikini. This can be helpful when children want to manage changing and toilet visits a little more easily on their own. A Molo bikini can be a good fit for older children who want a lighter and freer look.

If you are unsure what will work best, start with your child’s age and how the swimwear will be used:

  • One-piece: good for younger children and very active water play.
  • Tankini: good for school-age children who want a little more flexibility.
  • Bikini: best suited to older children where less coverage is more important.

Molo swimsuits with UV protection and materials that make sense in the sun

When choosing swimwear for children, sun protection is often an important factor. A Molo swimsuit with UV protection is therefore a good choice if you want swimwear and sun care to work together. UPF 50+ means the fabric helps protect the skin from the sun’s rays on the areas it covers. It does not replace sunscreen on exposed skin, but it does provide extra reassurance on days with many hours outdoors.

The material also affects how the swimsuit performs in use. REPREVE recycled polyester is chosen because it dries quickly and stands up well to repeated wear. This is an advantage when swimwear is used again and again in salt water, chlorinated pools and strong summer sun. Elastane also helps the swimsuit move with your child and retain its shape better over time.

If you need even more coverage on warm days or for long hours by the water, it can be a good idea to combine the swimsuit with UV swimwear or a lightweight swim hat.

Prints, sizes and small details that make choosing easier

Molo swimsuits are often chosen with both the heart and the head, and that makes perfect sense. The prints are a big part of the expression: sea motifs, nature-inspired patterns and colours that feel more adventurous than classic swimwear. For some children, it really does make a difference when the swimsuit feels fun and comfortable to wear, and it can help make trips to the beach or pool even easier.

When choosing a size, it can be helpful to start with your child’s age, height and how close-fitting the swimsuit should be. Because the fabric has stretch, it should sit close to the body without feeling too tight. For children who are very active in the water, it is often best to choose a style that fits well around the shoulders and leg openings, so it stays where it should when they jump, swim and play.
